SocialKit Privacy Policy

Beijing Yingliang Technology Co., Ltd. (hereinafter referred to as the "Company") understands the importance of personal information to you and will do its best to protect your personal information. We will explain how we collect, use, store, share, transfer, and protect your information through this SocialKit Privacy Policy (hereinafter referred to as the "Policy"). This Policy applies to SocialKit products and services. Before using our products or services, please read this Policy carefully, especially clauses shown in bold. By using SocialKit, you acknowledge that you understand and agree to this Policy. If you do not agree, please stop using our products or services. This Policy supplements the SocialKit Terms of Service. In case of conflict, this Policy prevails for privacy matters.
1. Introduction
1.1 Scope. This Policy describes how the Company handles personal information when you use SocialKit websites, client applications, and related services (collectively, "SocialKit" or the "Services").
1.2 Personal information means information recorded electronically or otherwise that relates to an identified or identifiable natural person, excluding anonymized information.
1.3 Processor role. Where we process personal information on behalf of another controller (for example, an organization account), that controller's instructions and agreement govern to the extent applicable, and this Policy explains our practices as operator of the Services.
1.4 Regional notices. If mandatory laws in your region require additional disclosures or bases for processing, we will comply with those requirements and may provide supplemental notices where appropriate.
2. How We Collect and Use Personal Information
We collect and use personal information to provide, maintain, and improve SocialKit, including social account connection, content scheduling, drafts, notifications, customer support, security, analytics, and compliance. We process information on lawful bases including performance of a contract, legitimate interests (where not overridden by your rights), consent where required, and legal obligation.
2.1 Account and profile. When you register or sign in, we may collect identifiers such as email address, phone number, or third-party login identifiers; display name; and profile preferences you choose to provide. We use this information to create and secure your account and communicate with you about the Services.
2.2 Connected social accounts and authorization. When you connect third-party social platforms, we may receive tokens, account identifiers, and permissions you grant, and content or metadata needed to perform scheduling and publishing you request (for example, post text, media references, and publication times). We use this information only to provide features you enable and as described in this Policy.
2.3 Content and usage. We process content you upload or schedule, technical logs (such as IP address, device type, operating system, app version, crash data), and usage events (such as feature usage and approximate location derived from IP if needed for security or localization). We use this information to operate the Services, troubleshoot, prevent abuse, and improve product quality.
2.4 Customer support. When you contact us, we collect the information you provide (such as messages, attachments, and contact details) to respond to your requests.
2.5 Cookies and similar technologies. We and our service providers may use cookies, local storage, and similar technologies for session management, preferences, analytics, and security. You can control some technologies through your browser or device settings.
2.6 Legal and safety. We may use information to comply with law, respond to lawful requests, enforce our Terms of Service, and protect rights, safety, and integrity of users, the Company, and the public.
2.7 Aggregated and de-identified data. We may create aggregated or de-identified data that cannot reasonably identify you, and use it for analytics, research, and service improvement.
3. How We Store Personal Information
3.1 Location. We may store and process personal information on servers located in the People's Republic of China and, where necessary to provide the Services or support users, in other jurisdictions with appropriate safeguards as required by law.
3.2 Retention. We retain personal information for as long as needed to fulfill the purposes described in this Policy, unless a longer period is required or permitted by law. Criteria include whether you still have an account, whether we have an ongoing relationship or legal obligation, and whether retention is needed for security or dispute resolution.
3.3 Deletion. When retention is no longer necessary, we will delete or anonymize personal information in accordance with applicable law, subject to backup and archival practices.
4. How We Secure Personal Information
We use administrative, technical, and organizational measures designed to protect personal information against unauthorized access, loss, misuse, or alteration. These measures may include access controls, encryption in transit where appropriate, monitoring, and staff training. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we encourage you to use strong passwords and protect your devices.
6. Your Rights
Depending on applicable law, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or obtain a copy of your personal information; restrict or object to certain processing; withdraw consent where processing is based on consent; and lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
6.1 Exercising rights. You may exercise rights through in-product settings (where available) or by contacting us using the details in Section 9. We may verify your identity before responding.
6.2 Account closure. You may close your account where the product allows. Some information may be retained as described in Section 3. If you are covered by a separate enterprise or partner agreement, closure or data handling may also be subject to that agreement.
6.3 Automated decisions. If we use solely automated decision-making that significantly affects you where required by law, we will provide information about logic and your rights as applicable.
6.4 Revoking access and deleting data. You have the right to revoke SocialKit's access to your social media accounts at any time. In addition to our in-product settings, you can manage or revoke permissions directly via the security settings of the respective platforms:
- Google/YouTube: You can revoke access through the Google Security Settings page at https://security.google.com/settings/security/permissions.
- Meta (Facebook & Instagram): You can manage your business integrations and remove our app via your Facebook Settings.
- TikTok: You can revoke app permissions within the TikTok app by navigating to Settings and Privacy > Security and login > Manage app permissions.
Once access is revoked, we will stop collecting any new data from those accounts. You may also request the deletion of previously collected data by contacting us at support@socialkit.app or using the data deletion request feature within the app.
7. Updates to This Policy
We may update this Policy from time to time. We will post the updated Policy in the Services or on our website and update the "Effective date." For material changes, we will provide additional notice as required by law (for example, in-app notice or email). Continued use after the effective date of changes constitutes acceptance where permitted by law.
8. Minors
Our Services are not directed to children under the age where they cannot lawfully consent to processing in their jurisdiction without parental authorization. If you are a parent or guardian and believe we have collected information from a child without appropriate consent, please contact us and we will take steps to delete such information as required by law.
